After trying out some raiding nights
with "Allegiance of the dragon" and
"Ship of fools" we did really well.
Those guys and girls have the same
problem as us with heroics, there
often arent enough peeps online.
This way we formed a raid of 25 good
players in 45 mins. So thats really
nice, and they are too! They got
about the same state of mind as we
do, nice gaming and having a relaxed
time doing it.
We cleared 2 wings in heroic naxx
now and 8 bosses in Naxx normal so
the progression has been there last
month. In fact 2 more wings on
heroic and Malychos and we cleared
all content. But that'll take some
more fighting and dying! :)

2009 DKP explained.
I noticed dkp gave some confusion
while i wasnt on last raid.
To make it clear to anyone ill
explain some simple rules here,
systems like this work best if we
use the kiss principle (keep it
stupid simple) so everyone will
understand it.
Last year i had many requests from
our regular raiders for a dkp system,
we checked out a couple of systems
and we think this one is the best we
can use.
First of all its all ingame in a mod,
it works in the 2nd officer message.
I wanna ask the few people that have
access there to not touch the
numbers you see there. This way we
never have to upload raid images
etc. to websites and all, we always
have the last gamedata available and
we can deduct dkp in realtime during
the raids.
Ways to gain dkp:
1) Killing, You'll get dkp for every
downed boss.
2) Time, time bonus, every hour you
get some dkp.
3) Iron man bonus, if you stay from
the start till the end of the raid,
you will get the ironman bonus.
4) Guildfirst kills give 10dkp
bonus.
Ways to spend dkp:
Actually i should say it differently,
how and when do you spend dkp?
Lets say an epic drops.
1) Only one raider wants the drop,
he gets it for free.
2) More raiders want the same drop.
We start the bidding process, we
look at how much dkp every wanting
raider has. The one with the most
dkp can outbid the one with the 2nd
most dkp by 1 dkp.
So if the raider with the most
points has like 150 dkp, and the one
with the second most points has 100
dkp, the raider can buy that drop
for 101 dkp, the drop is his/hers
then.
If the raider with the most dkp
doesnt want to buy the item for that
high of an amount he can call out
for a roll, all the raiders wanting
the item may roll then, the highest
roll wins the item for free.
I think its a waterproof system this
way. Clear and simple. If you dont
get it, read the text again. :p.

2009 WOTLK RAIDING TIME!
We went to naxx for the third time
this week and what a succes it was!
3 Naxx bosses downed now.
We also raided obsidian sanctum and
completed it.
The WOTLK raid fun is really
starting now, more members are
joining in and bosses are downed.
Lets grind some gear from em :)
WE WANT TO ASK THAT IF YOU COME RAID
COME WITH RAID FOOD AND POTS, buy em
at your local ah or go learn cooking
and herbing etc. :)

Arkrune made something possible what
we wanted to do for some time now.
He got in some new peeps, welcome
btw, and started a new raid group.
At Wednesday we did a first run with
the 2 crews and on friday this was
continued, and it went very well.
Raid group 2 (my group) killed curry
on friday, i haven't got a clue what
happened to the others tbh.
So would be cool if we got 2
Prince's this week :).
First few weeks well be grinding
gear i guess to get the blue boys
(lol) some purples.
On our friday raid there were some
people quite anxious about new gear,
i would like to ask you guys to have
some more patience concerning epic
gear, all will come to you if you
come with us, just not in one week.
This'll take some time/months. Share
the stuff well and we will have a
good time and all get epic! Remember
that with these 2 raids we can soon
actually be pulling off gruul and ZA
for even more IMBA gear.
Here is a list of required mods for
raiding, if you want to see how to
set up a mod, check below in the
part of group calendar mod, its a
complete and detailed description of
the typical way to set up a mod.
*Note: NEVER and i mean NEVER set up
a mod that doesnt go in the addons
folder (e.g. *.exe files). These
mods pass the blizzard
authentication and will probably get
you kicked/banned!!!
You could also say that any mod that
works in the addon folder is allowed
cause Blizz can control em there. If
it wouldnt be allowed, they could
easily make it not work anymore
through an update.
If you have any suggestions for
other addons, let us know! There are
a lot of people developing stuff and
we wouldnt want to miss out on the
latest and best addons. :)
Tip* Here are some of my favorite
non raiding mods:
* Quest helper - awesome mod that
cuts down levelling time by atleast
50%.
Well i first would like to say a BIG
thanks to Samo, he hired a teamspeak
server!
- One tiny rule, dont mess around
with it, samo pays for this each
month, abusive behaviour will result
in an IP ban (Which means youll not
be able to log in whatever you do!).
K lets explain how to set up
teamspeak:
K first of all you go to this link:
Windows users take the top download,
Mac users get the bottom one.
You go on to the next page where you
click I AGREE
Youll get a dialogue box which asks
you the following:
Click run for your teamspeak install
to start. When it downloaded press
run on the security warning dialogue
box.
It asks this will install teamspeak
RC2 do you want to continue, and
guess what! Lol, Click continue.
The setup program starts, click next
about 5 times and accept the user
agreement, finally click install.
After a quick install the Teamspeak
codec installer screen comes up,
just click next to install the right
codecs.
Click next a few times and in the
last screen press finish, Teamspeak
2 will automatically start.
Youll see the teamspeak main screen
now.
go to the following menu to set the
right settings:
Set things like the screen above,
the GRAVE button is the one left of
the 1. (The ~ key)
You dont really have to adjust
volume yet, your m8s will tell you
soon enough if its right or not when
youre logged in.
Press close.
K next settings:
Choose this menu now:
In this menu set the following
things and dont touch the rest:
(Realtek is my sound board, you offc
could have something else in these
screens, just put em to these
settings and choose you audio input
and audio output, youll recognize
your soundcard easily)
Set sound driver to wave cause i
have the feeling direct sound could
clash with WOW since wow uses that
driver also.)
On this tab you type your Wow
character name, this will keep
things clear in the list when were
logged on.
Set the other options the same.
Press ok.
K now were ready to connect!
Go to this menu as shown above;
And set
it like the screen above, offc your
own name will show up.
The password we wont mention here
offcourse, you can get it from Samo,
so wisp him for it if you want to
connect.
Finally press connect! And youre
set!
This is
how it should look like! Have a lot
of fun dudes and dudettes! That's
what we are here for!

Prince malchezaar is officially ON
FARM :)
We killed him 4 times now, the fight
is getting known and kinda easy, if
the totems drop ok, its even easy.
We did Illhoof on our own first
time, so were getting that fight
also soon now.
We did Nightbane for which guilherme
got the urn to summon now, but no
kill yet after 2 tries. No worries,
well get there! :p
We now started Kara beginners night
on wednesdays, we take some people
that just got 70 for the first few
bosses. Since theres no key
requirement anymore we got a lot of
people with even green gear wanting
to go karazhan. Thats not a problem
if we take some starters on first
few bosses then they also can get
their first epics. Be aware that
full epics will take months of
raiding, so be patient! Everyone
gets their turn.

shade, prince, illhoof, nightbane,
netherspite, etc. we taking our best
players, theres no other way to get
those bosses.
Beginning
of april
Last week we had some healing
trouble, but nothing we couldnt
overcome! Ark's back from hols so
yesterday we went kara and did the
first 5 bosses in a short time, a
sign we are ready to beat prince!
90 badges and 13 epics in total in a
few hours can't be bad :P
So coming weeks well be raiding in
kara some more, untill the day comes
we beat Prince Noobchazaar!
End of february
Making 2 kara groups seems hard to
do, so i will be sure to include
some of the starting members to come
on the wednesdays and thursdays for
the 4 first bosses (up to opera).
Curator is just something that is
way harder, ill have to be selective
on who can join from there.
(i.e. the experienced almost all
epic players.) Cause last week we
did the first 4 bosses in one night,
then curator was way to hard for the
group on thursday, we just didnt
have sufficient DPS and healing
cause we took some starting members.

We are starting to talk over ideas
for a second raid group.

Because we use the Group calendar
now we were able to form a
straight-to-the-point group.
Formula for winning group:
2 Tank
2 Hunt
3 Heal (of which 1 priest, raid
shamans always welcome :P)
3 Major DPS. (atleast 1 mage, 1 lock,
and one more high end dps)
Like you can see up here these
groups require specific characters
and builds.
Proof is we made CURATOR on our own
this week for the first time!
Chess event is easy, thats more like
a gift i heard someone say and thats
quite true i think :P

Group calendar mod is installed in
guild.
FROM NOW ON YOU CAN NOT ATTEND RAIDS
IF YOU DONT HAVE THE CALENDAR.
Strict rule but its needed, and the
calendar is soooooo cool!
That you extract/unzip in the
following folder:
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\
So there has to be a group calendar
folder in the addons folder, make
sure there is not another group
calendar folder after that folder.
Some unzip programs make an extra
folder in between when they extract
stuff and put the files in after
that.
If you hover your mouse over the
group calendar folder that is in the
addons folder you should see this
pop up:
Start your wow and activate the
addon.
Your day/night icon will be replaced
by a nice clock, clicking on the
clock opens your group calendar.
Now go to the second tab of the
group calendar screen, the setup
tab;
Select "Automatic" and press apply,
now wait 5 mins for synchronisation
and youre set!
Huntsman and moroes downed quite
easily. Lets see what happens this
weekend =)

We have been doing Kara a lot this
month, quite some people won their
first epics. Huntsman and Animal
bosses are so easy to do now.
Maiden and Moroes aren't beaten yet.
:(
But we're havind lots of fun and
lots of good laughs, and thats what
counts here! :P
Grinding epics from heroics is the
best way to get stronger so we do
that a lot now.

We got an alliance with heroes of

join in also, theyre in about the
same stage as we are now.

The weekend of 19 oktober 2007
Tonight we chatted about how and when
were going kara and geroic instances with our own regular
team. 20.30 ingame. We formed
our first raid clan! Raid leader is
draepriest, he will be the first end
game content raid leader in our
guild ever!
I found the following interesting
text on raiding and gear:

think about gear and karazhan. Its
an answer to someone on a forum that
wants to start a raid guild that
lets every class and spec in the
raids;

While I admire what you're setting
out to do the 10-man starter raid (KZ)
with this philopshy in mind it is
not really friendly to this idea. KZ
is not AQ20 or ZG where you had room
for flexibility and possibly could
even benefit from these offspecs.
I'm a math/accounting guy so I sort
of look at my 10 man raid like a
budget. I.E. I have a budget for
1.5 tanks, 2.5 healers and 6
High-end DPS with very little room
for error.
Unforunately Boomkin and Retipally
really don't fit any of those three
categories very well without having
a very specific spec (and thats
really only looking at them as 1/2 a
healer)
Is this doable once you have the
various bosses in KZ on farm and
know it well? Absolutely, once you
have a firm hand on the encounters
and what to expect with every boss.
But starting out in order to be
successful you need to stack the
cards in your favor, especially if
everyone is coming into KZ in Blues
and possibly a green or two still in
their gear.
Moroes (2nd boss) is a good example
of this. Learning this fight without
3 crowd control (preferablly 2 of
them priests) is very very difficult.
Its also a major DPS race. If you
can't kill him quickly enough you're
either going to have a good portion
of the raid suffering (or the after
effects) from garotte or when he
gets down to his enrage phase you're
not going to have enough mana left
to heal through it.
Maiden is a check of your healing/debuff
removing abiltiy AND a DPS race with
the added funness that too many
melee makes this a very difficult
chore on your healers as you're
learning.
The addition of the daily quests for
the various new factions has made it
extremely easy to make even the
maximum respec cost replaceable in
an hour or so. If you're <insert
class> wants to be an offspec in
their freetime its not the
potentially cash challenging
situation it used to sort of be.
What this actually tells us is the
following thing:
1) Be a healer
2) Be a tank
3) Be high-end dps
If we choose the right specs, were
halfway there, but as usual,
speccing is not a must, i expect
from people that if they wanna join
in on the fun and they see their
spec dont work the game itself will
convince em to respec.
Learning kara and heroic instances takes some time, and
we got a few months left so.......
Lets do it! :P

server crash.
Pro's: Alliance is boss on darkspear and we
proved it!

THIS GUILD IS GOING KARA!
PARTYTIME !
A lot of people are getting the master's key
to karazhan now.
I think we found our place to focus on for
the coming time, lots of people are getting
the key now.
Like you can see in the
forum,
under events in the dungeon and raid chat, on the dungeon chart,
its the logical first step to raiding in
Outland.
We assigned a kara officer! Elknu.
Elknu has volunteered to become our
Karazhan officer, helping people get the
quests and parts, forming groups to do it
together etc.
So if you want to get the karazhan key at
level 70 be sure to wisp Elknu ingame to
atleast let him know youre going there and
who knows what he can all arrange for you.....
Cause you just cant solo karazhan, we'll
have to work together!
So come join the fun and lets grind
SHITLOADS OF EPICS :P

After we massively attuned our guild to MC
we formed a raid in there for fun and to see
how we do, and we do great! Our guild has
some strong players! :P thanks fid for

Boy that 2nd boss can be a bitch :P
Quite cool gear we got in there, a lot of
blues and 2 rare blue robes/capes and an
epic lvl 70, 2000 gold worth, sword, which
in the end Fidencio gave to Elknu without
the twink of an eye. :P Cool fid!
Elknu also got his arcatraz key part in the
end (
more info click here
), which fid an I dont really need since
only 1 has to have the key to get into
arcatraz.
So if anyone needs some botanica expert, we
got quite a lot now!

* Wipes happen! People pull the wrong
switches, people aggro the wrong mobs,
people dps in the middle of 100 yellow crabs!
Some people even have autoloot turned on! (Remember
our zul'gurrub 25 man wipe? :P) Believe me,
bad things are going to happen! So please
just have a laugh at it and dont go shouting
things like "FFS, OMG YOU NOOB, OMG THATS
PATHETIC, OMG I HATE YOU"
Get the point? We are nice and social, you
must be 2! We play this just for fun. Woohoo!
We dont have any other rules,
we hate rules, as you might have noticed.
Yeah ok we got a NO CAPS IN GUILD CHAT rule
but thats for our own protection :P.
When you know certain things the rest dont
about whats round that next corner just yell
something like "stop a moment" and share the
knowledge you have about the mob. If you
share your knowledge you probably wont have
to be disappointed on how your crew behaves!
